PQE: 1–3 Years of good trademark experience, preferably in a law firm
Position Overview
The ideal candidate should have worked on a mix of trademark prosecution, oppositions, cancellations, pre-litigation advisory, cease and desist letters, settlements, etc. He/she should be a quick learner with good drafting skills, attention to detail, a strong foundation in trademark law, and the ability to work and prosper in a fast-paced law firm environment. Candidate must be able to handle and juggle multiple matters in a day.
Roles & Responsibilities

Handling end-to-end trademark prosecution matters, including filing strategy, specification drafting, responses to Examination Reports/ provisional refusals, and representation before the Trade Marks Registry at show-cause hearings.

Assisting in opposition, cancellation and rectification proceedings, including drafting pleadings and written submissions and representation before the Trade Marks Registry at merit-based and procedural hearings.

Monitoring trademark prosecution and enforcement matters before the Trade Marks Registry, ensuring timely filings and compliance with statutory deadlines.

Drafting cease-and-desist notices, consent letters, coexistence agreements, undertakings, settlement agreements and other documents under supervision.

Providing pre-litigation advisory support, including trademark availability, registrability and risk assessment.

Assisting with online takedown actions, domain name disputes and other enforcement matters.

Supporting with day-to-day client communication, advisory work, and execution of assigned matters.
