About the Role

We are looking for a Principal Associate to join our Intellectual Property practice, to lead and independently manage complex trademark portfolios for domestic and international clients, including prosecution, oppositions, rectifications, strategic advisory, and enforcement support. The role requires high levels of client-facing responsibility, strong decision-making skills, mentoring capability, commercial awareness, and contribution toward practice development. The ideal candidate should have worked in a reputed law firm, thriving in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated experience in independently managing day-to-day client deliverables and should have worked with top-notch clients.
Key Responsibilities:

Independently manage domestic and international trademark portfolios, including prosecution, oppositions, rectifications, hearings, and related contentious matters.

Advise clients on trademark strategy, clearance, enforcement, portfolio management, and risk assessment while serving as a key client contact.

Supervise and mentor junior team members, review work product, and drive efficient practice management and knowledge development.

Support practice growth through client relationship management, business development initiatives, pitches, publications, and industry engagement.

Experience with prosecution of copyright matters.

Provide commercially practical and business-oriented trademark advice.

Conduct portfolio audits and risk assessments.

Manage deadlines, reporting, and service quality standards independently.

Supervise and mentor associates and senior associates.

Review drafting and prosecution work of junior team members.

Drive process improvements and knowledge management initiatives.

Contribute to client pitches, capability presentations, and practice development initiatives.

Support networking, publications, webinars, and industry engagement activities.

Identify opportunities for expanding client mandates and cross-selling services.
